Seatbelts in the Bahamas
In March of 2002 a seat belt law was enacted in the Bahamian Parliament. Nearly eight years later it is finally being enforced!
After forty people met their deaths on Bahamian roads in the first eleven months of 2010, Royal Bahamian Police Force (RBPF) superintendent Dennis Stirrup has announced that seat belt law enforcement is long overdue and opened a campaign entitled “seat belts save lives”, to be enforced starting on December 13.

Delta Airlines new flights to Exuma
April 24, 2010 — Beginning June 13, 2010, Delta Airlines will be offering two non-stop flights per week from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, better known as Atlanta Airport, to George Town, Exuma, making it easier than ever to visit this gorgeous vacation destination. A portion of travel for some itineraries may be on Delta Connection carrier Atlantic Southeast Airlines.
Flight DL5607 will depart on Wednesdays at 10:55am, arriving at George Town at 1:17pm and Flight DL5606 will depart on Sundays at 2pm and arrives at 4:34pm.
